Two passionate Aduana Stars fans have been confirmed dead and several others are battling various degrees of injury following a horrific road traffic accident on Sunday night as they returned from the Ghana Premier League Matchday 10 fixture against Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.
The supporters had travelled from Dormaa Ahenkro and surrounding towns to rally behind their team, particularly in support of midfielder Seidu Saana, who scored Aduana’s equalizer in the entertaining 1-1 draw at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The point kept the Ogya Boys firmly in the top half of the table, but celebrations were cut short hours later.
The fatal crash occurred around 11:45 pm near Aboaso on the Kumasi–Sunyani highway when the supporters’ bus was involved in a head-on collision with a cargo truck.
Police at the scene confirmed that two male fans died instantly from severe head and chest trauma. At least eight others sustained injuries ranging from deep lacerations and suspected spinal damage to multiple fractures.
Four of the injured remain in critical condition at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Trauma and Orthopaedic Centre, while others are receiving treatment at the Emergency Unit.
Club officials, led by Chief Executive Officer Collins Atta Poku and Corporate Affairs Manager Evans Oppong, have been at KATH since dawn offering support to the injured and their relatives.
