The NPP must be blamed for current economic woes and not all politicians – Buem MP

Kofi Adams, representing the Buem Constituency in Parliament, pointed fingers at the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserting that they are responsible for the nation’s economic challenges rather than politicians in general.

Addressing the issue on Accra-based Ahotor 92.3 FM, Hon. Adams emphasized the importance for journalists to be forthright and directly confront the NPP about their mismanagement of the economy. He stressed that journalists must be courageous in holding the NPP accountable, underscoring that not all politicians should bear the brunt of blame for the country’s woes.

Highlighting the responsibility placed on the shoulders of President His Excellency Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Adams noted that citizens pay taxes to their administration. Therefore, if Ghanaians seek someone to hold accountable for the prevailing hardships, it should squarely fall on them.

Further, Kofi Adams attributed the recent power outages to the NPP’s mishandling, stating that the previous NDC government had implemented better measures that could have prevented such disruptions. He lamented that the NPP’s mismanagement led to the exacerbation of the situation rather than its resolution.
