When it’s time for us to change, I promise you, it will happen, and Akufo-Addo will hand over power – Joshua Akamba

Joshua Akamba, the Former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), exudes confidence in his party’s ability to clinch victory in the 2024 elections under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama. He firmly believes that President Akufo-Addo will be left with no choice but to hand over power.

Expressing his concerns, Akamba suspects that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) might resort to using the Electoral Commission to manipulate the 2024 elections. However, he reassures that the NDC remains vigilant against such attempts.

Akamba finds President Akufo-Addo’s remark about refusing to hand over power to John Mahama unfortunate. He asserts that when the change unfolds in the 2024 elections, Akufo-Addo will have no option but to relinquish power.

On the other hand, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo maintains his confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s potential to win the 2024 general elections. He emphasizes that John Dramani Mahama’s previous electoral defeats disqualify him from succeeding as President.

During an address to the chiefs and people of Wa, President Akufo-Addo expresses gratitude for their support throughout his tenure. He announces his intention to return to the area with the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as his successor, affirming his commitment to the party’s leadership succession plan.

In response, Akamba, speaking on Ahotor 92.3 FM with host Citizen Kofi Owusu, remains unwavering in his confidence that the NDC will emerge victorious in the 2024 general elections despite any intimidation tactics.
