The 2026 edition of the Gomoa Easter Carnival has been hailed as a major success, firmly placing Gomoa on Ghana’s cultural and tourism map after an unforgettable four-day celebration of music, fashion, and tradition.
Held in the Central Region, the vibrant festival drew thousands of revellers, tourists, and industry players from across the country. Attendees were treated to a rich display of Ghanaian heritage, from colourful traditional outfits to energetic dance performances that highlighted the identity and pride of the Gomoa people.

The event was spearheaded by Gomoa Central MP Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus. Beyond entertainment, the carnival was designed to expand Ghana’s Easter festivities beyond the usual hotspots, and it delivered by blending culture with modern-day entertainment across several communities.
