
Tema Development Corporation (TDC) has reaffirmed its pledge to bolster affordable housing and ease pressures on Ghanaians amid rapid urbanization.
At the 5th Annual General Meeting, TDC Board Chairman and Tema East MP, Hon. Isaac Ashai Odamtten, announced the launch of Oxygen City in Ho, Volta Region. This ambitious project aims to deliver 10,000 affordable housing units. He commended board members and staff for their unwavering dedication to nation-building.

TDC Managing Director, Mr. Courage Makafui Nunekpeku, highlighted the company’s 70-year legacy as a cornerstone of Ghana’s development. Today, TDC is evolving into a tech-driven, growth-oriented institution, expanding beyond Tema into multiple regions. To strengthen revenue, they’re introducing premium services, courier operations, a 24-hour call center, and business centers—all boosting customer experience and efficiency.

Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, voiced strong support for TDC as a vital driver of government housing and urban agendas. He praised recent milestones, especially Oxygen City in Ho: a model of integrated development featuring a dedicated industrial park,

world-class health and tourism facilities, an 18-hole golf course, and a bustling commercial district—all underpinned by modern roads, reliable power, water systems, and sustainable infrastructure.
