Police Arrest Six Suspects for Impersonating Military, Immigration, and National Security Operatives

The Agona Swedru District Police Command has arrested six men for allegedly impersonating security personnel and assaulting Chinese nationals at a manufacturing company in the Central Region.

The incident occurred on May 6, 2026, at about 12:00 pm, when the six suspects traveling in a Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle with registration number GW 8887-V stormed S. I Jun Manufacturing Company Limited, located at Agona Akwakwa near Mankrong Nkwanta.

According to a statement signed by Chief Inspector Isaac Evans Ettie of the Public Affairs Unit, three of the suspects were dressed in Ghana Immigration Service camouflage uniforms, one was in Military uniform, and the remaining two were in mufti (plain clothes).

The suspects claimed to be National Security operatives and were allegedly assaulting and harassing several Chinese nationals on the company’s premises.

Upon receiving a distress call, police officers were immediately deployed to the scene. They found the said Toyota Land Cruiser parked at the location, where three Chinese nationals Man Guan, Chin Min, and Ma Kaixiang had been handcuffed.

The six suspects have been identified as:

– Agyemang Benjamin, age 32

– Mahama Iddirsu Dawuda Seidu, age 48

– Ofori Isaac, age 35

– Adom Bills, age 32

– Hayford Boafo, age 47

– Ato Mchenry, age 48

All suspects are currently in the custody of the Agona Swedru District Police Headquarters assisting with investigations.

The Military Police, Immigration Service commands, and National Security have all been contacted to help ascertain the true identities of the suspects.

Police have confirmed that the case is still under investigation.
