(LISTEN): Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital had implemented measures that enhanced security – Kwame Frimpong

A man impersonating a medical doctor at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital has been handed over to the police following suspicions raised by hospital staff.
The middle-aged man, identified as Williams Cyril Kohen, was interrogated by hospital staff during their routine rounds through which they confirmed their suspicions.
The suspect was subsequently handed over to the hospital’s police post, which then transferred the case to the Central Police Command for further investigation.
Speaking to the media, the Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Kwame Frimpong indicated that the hospital had implemented measures that enhanced security and averted such cases.
He further stated that the hospital has an electronic medical records system where every member of the medical staff has a password specific to them, and you have to use this system to attend to patients, review the cases, and give prescriptions for medicine to be dispensed. Once you don’t have the password because you are not a staff or member of the medical team you cannot even attend to the patient.
