La Pleasure Beach Traders Appeal to Government to Restore Their Livelihoods

Traders and workers affected by the demolition at La Pleasure Beach have appealed to the government to intervene and allow them to return to their workplaces.

The affected workers say the demolitions have disrupted their businesses, leaving many struggling to earn a living and support their families.

They made the appeal during the “Aaabge Wɔ Demo” demonstration organised by the Ga-Dangme Progressive Front to draw attention to their concerns and the impact of the demolitions on their livelihoods.

According to the traders, their inability to resume work has created financial difficulties, as many depend on commercial activities at the beach for their daily income.

They are therefore calling on the government to engage the relevant stakeholders and consider measures that would enable them to return to work and rebuild their businesses.

The traders say a lasting solution to the situation would help ease their hardship and restore their sources of income. They are urging the authorities to treat their concerns as a matter of urgency.
