During the inaugural ceremony of the Greater Accra Regional committee tasked with leading the campaign for victory in the 2024 general election, National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof Joshua Alabi, called upon party members to diligently strive towards wresting power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Prof Alabi emphasized the importance of unity over financial resources, noting that while they may lack the financial might of the NPP, their strength lies in their solidarity. He cited the party’s ability to reduce the NPP’s parliamentary seats from 169 to 137 in the 2020 election despite challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and intimidation, as evidence of what unity can achieve.
Asserting that victory is attainable through collaboration and cohesion,Prof Alabi urged all committees to work together harmoniously to secure success in the upcoming election.
