Five Police Officers Face Probe for Misusing Official Uniforms Online

The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five officers for alleged professional misconduct involving the unauthorised use of official police uniforms on social media platforms.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Police Administration said the decision followed findings that the officers had used official police attire in online content without the requisite approval, in breach of established Service regulations.

The interdicted officers are G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale, G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere, G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo, G/Cpl. Charles Oduro, and PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor.

According to the statement, the interdiction is intended to facilitate thorough investigations while safeguarding discipline and professional standards within the Service.

The officers have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) for further investigations into the matter.

The Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to discipline and professionalism, cautioning that any conduct that compromises the integrity and public image of the Service will be dealt with decisively.

The statement further reminded officers and the general public that the use of police uniforms and insignia is strictly regulated, stressing that unauthorised use—whether online or offline—will attract appropriate sanctions.
