The money spent to take care of the delegates at the just ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer contest is more than the amount donated by Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to flood victim in the Volta region. It’s on record that the Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has made a personal donation of Ghc 160,000 with assorted items to victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage.
The former Member of Parliament for Madina Hon. Amadu Bugari Sorogho, said this on Adekyee Mu Nsem morning show on Ahotor 92.3 FM in Accra hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu.
He said it’s unfortunate and politically incorrect to compare Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia on the performance of the economy and development in the country with the records of John Dramani Mahamah. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates have rejected the flag bearer with 61.4%. And he believes the percentage he had indicates his level of lairs and empty unfulfilled campaign promises.
Hon Amadu, said the victory of Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is just a political scheme from the hawks from the flag staff house to use Dr. Bawumia to cover up all the corruption, injustice and abuse of human rights excess of the President Nana Akufo-Addo.
He is of the view that, the development prospect the former president John Dramani Mahamah left behind for the NPP in 2017 it’s unfortunate for Dr. Bawumia and the President to put Ghanaians into this severe economic hardship as the head of the government economic team to take the country to junk stators
Surprisingly all the economic indicators are pointing into a wrong direction, where food inflation has been skyrocketed making cost of living very hard.
He reiterated that, looking at the score card, what at all is Dr. Bawumia is bringing on board that can change the situation we found the country in now where all businesses in the country are collapsing.
Hon Amadu, said he is of the view that, though the NPP may employed a lot of dynamics of propaganda to fight the 2024 campaign, the leadership the Vice president and the president Nana Akufo-Addo shows for the past eight years will speak to the records to make Ghanaians to decide to vote for John Dramani Mahama.
