President Akufo Addo says we will have the first Zongo First Lady should the vice president who is the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia wins.
He refers to the wife of Dr Bawumia, Mrs. Samira Ramadan Bawumia as a zongo lady who is going to make history should Ghanaians give the nod to her husband as president.
Speaking to Nima residents in Accra, President Akufo Addo indicated that, the zongo community will get their share of the national cake if one of them becomes first lady of Ghana, hence the need for them to go for their own.
He called on the Zongo communities to vote massively for the NPP Presidential candidate Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia come 2024 for a better share of progress in their communities.
According to President Akufo Addo, he is a Zongo boy from Nima of which everyone is aware.
He declared December 17 as Nima Day during his visit to the people.
