I want to caution Ghanaians against falling into the trap of the President Nana Addo and his Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia’s campaign ploys that worked for them in the 2016 presidential election.
President Nana Addo is a liar and cannot be trusted on any national issues he presents to Ghanaians. The state of Ghana is in disarray, and the trusted leader of the economic management team, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, is nothing more than a political economic illusion.
Former National Democratic Congress National organizer, Joseph Akamba, conveyed this sentiment on the Adekyee Mu Nsem morning show on Ahotor 92.3 FM, hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu in Accra.
In response to the State of the Nation address by the president, Akamba commended the Inspector General Office’s excellent work despite the challenges it faces, particularly in terms of logistics and police operational equipment. He acknowledged the efforts made by the Inspector General Office amidst the crisis.
Regarding the health sector, Akamba expressed disappointment, stating that the government has failed miserably in completing its flagship program, Agenda 111. The promised revitalization of the health sector, according to Akamba, has turned out to be nothing more than empty promises. He urged Ghanaians to wake up and vote the New Patriotic Party (NPP) out of power.
Looking ahead, Akamba called on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to train qualified individuals as party agents capable of handling ballot accounting. This measure is crucial to protect valid ballots from errors, both major and minor, that could lead to election conflicts and potentially mar the victory for the NDC’s flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama.
