Ashanti Regional Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Abass Nurudeen has indicated that, President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo- Addo comes nowhere close to the records of former President John Mahama as far as fighting against corruption is concerned.
Speaking in an interview monitored by @Ahotoronline.com, he said the former president is the only one who is on records to have prosecuted his own Member of Parliament (MP) for engaging in acts of corruption.
According to him, under president John Dramani Mahama people were sacked from their positions for just dreaming of getting one million dollars in politics.
Adding that, the national anti-corruption plan was initiated under the former president’s administration.
Abass Nurudeen alleged that; the current president will be put in the records of this country as the only president who was caught in camera trying to steal from the national coffers.
He called on President Akufo- Addo to stop clearing his officials if he truly wants Ghanaians to believe that he is fighting corruption.
