Stop the comparison, explore other nations, and market your talents – Trigmatic tells musicians

Trigmatic, the award-winning rapper, songwriter, composer, and OAP, has shared that Ghanaian artists have a significant opportunity to gain international recognition and acceptance if they venture into other markets.

During an interview with Graphic Showbiz, he expressed his belief that the music industry is challenging to keep up with on the global stage.

He believes it is more profitable to focus on earning revenue from other countries instead of competing with Nigeria, our neighboring nation.

I believe that the constant comparison between Ghanaian and Nigerian musicians is becoming excessive, and it’s time to put an end to it. Ghanaian artists should expand their reach beyond Ghana and make a conscious effort to introduce themselves and their music to new fans in other countries.

“They need to move to countries such as South Africa, Brazil, and Korea and make their music known to their new fans there. I know South Americans love African music and patronize our songs a lot.”

He suggested that Kuami Eugene could focus on that specific region and establish relevance among the citizens there. Through collaboration with artists from these countries and the assistance of promoters, our songs can be successfully introduced to these audiences. By following this strategy, it is possible for Kuami Eugene to achieve significant success and wealth in a short amount of time.”

Trigmatic encouraged musicians to be proactive in finding new and creative methods to showcase their talents and expand their audience beyond Ghana’s borders.

”Musicians only think about themselves and their immediate circle of friends, instead of banding together to work towards a common goal. This narrow-minded approach hinders progress and prevents the exploitation of potential opportunities beyond just playing a few shows for financial gain.”
