Former assistant coach of Accra Lions Nuru Yakubu has officially joined Montreal FC in Accra. 

Yakubu, known for his expertise in youth development was part of the Accra Lions technical team that gained promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

The ex-footballer previously worked with the division two side Madina Republicans as a coach.

He also helped in the development of Alexander Agyarkwa who’s now playing in Malaysia, Dominic Nsobila and Osman Bukari who plays for the Black Stars.

Having joined Montreal FC, Nuru Yakubu said his target is to help the secure promotion to the Division One League this season.

Montreal FC is in Zone 5 of the Greater Accra second division league.

They have won their two opening games in the ongoing Greater Accra Division Two League.
