The Akyem Kade police in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of Eastern region has arrested a forty-two- year man; Osei Kojo Forson on Saturday when he fired several gun shots at a funeral ground scaring the mourners who took to their heels.
He further threatened to kill the Chief of Akyem Kade; Osaaberima Agyare Tenadu II.
The Akyem Kade Police Commander, Supt. Agyenin Boateng who spoke to Ahotor fm news reporter Eric Nyarko confirmed the unfortunate incidence and hinted that the suspect, Osei Kojo Forson has been granted police bail and will appear before court on Tuesday 13th September, 2022.
The Kwaebibirem Municipal Chief Executive; Seth Antwi Boasiako disclosed that, the security system in the municipality needs to be beefed up as most of the citizens are living in fear.
He has therefore called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to beef up security personnel in the municipality.
