According to the rap doctor, “the song was expecting to take home more than one award with his song ‘Yeeko’ at the just-ended 23rd Vodafone Ghana music awards which happened the last Sunday at the Grand Arena of the Accra international conference center.
“When Kuami and I have been recording the music, the award wasn’t on our minds. This was during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, and we wished to do music to calm nerves. The very first week we launched the music, it grew to become successful.
“We weren’t in search of an award [but] when the music grew to become successful and all these streams, and it was trending for about 5 months, then we realized that it’s going to gather some awards,” he mentioned in an interview on Monday.
“I’m grateful for the one I’ve. I can’t wait to have it and add it to my assortment.”
Okyeame Kwame was grateful to his followers, the media, and individuals who contributed in numerous methods to maintain him related within the trade.
