Hearts of Oak are out of the CAF Confederations Cup after losing 4-0 to JS Saoura in Algeria in the return leg of the playoffs.
The heavy defeat has brought to an end the Ghanaian champions African campaign, failing to achieve their group stage target.
The result means Hearts of Oak have conceded 10 goals in two games in their African campaign this year and registered just three.
The 4-2 aggregate by JS Saoura also means the Phobians cannot progress to the money zone of the CAF Confederations Cup.
Hearts dropped into the Confederation Cup after losing 6-2 on aggregate to Moroccan champions Wydad Casablanca in the play-offs of the CAF Champions League.
The Phobians apologised for the 6-1 defeat in Morocco and promised to do better in the Confederation Cup.
However, the 4-0 hammering will now mean the end of the road for coach Samuel Boadu’s men.
The Ghanaian giants will return home next home and turn attention to the Ghana Premier League where they are yet to record a single win after playing four matches this season.
