Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr.John Dramani Mahama says the controversial Agyapa deal should be cancelled but not returning it to Parliament.
President Akufo-Addo has instructed that the Finance Minister to return it to Parliament to reconsider the arrangement in the transaction with the Agyapa Mineral Royalties Limited.
This comes moments after the Office of the Special Prosecutor on Monday, communicated its disclosure of findings of a corruption risk assessment conducted into the transaction.
The Former President in an interview with Francis Abban on Starr Fm also called for the dismissal of the Finance Minister.
“For me the issue is not about returning it to parliament for review, I think it should be redrawn completely and there should be no hurry to bring it back” He said.
“A whole new look should be taken about what we want to do with our gold royalties” He added.
