“Approach BECE with confidence, honesty and determination” – Vice President to candidates

ACCRA, Ghana, 4th May: The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has extended her best wishes to all students sitting for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), urging them to remain confident and uphold integrity throughout the process.

In a statement issued on Monday, May 4, 2026, from the Office of the President at Jubilee House in Accra, the Vice President expressed optimism that candidates would deliver their best performance after years of preparation, discipline, and hard work.

She encouraged students across the country to approach the examination with confidence, honesty, and determination, emphasizing that these values are essential for success.

The Vice President also commended the Ghana Education Service, as well as teachers, parents, and other stakeholders, for their dedication to preparing students for the exams.

At the same time, she called on supervisors, invigilators, and school authorities to uphold the highest standards of fairness and transparency to ensure a credible examination process and outcome.
