Kpandai Bee Attack Rumor Debunked as NDC Slams NPP Propaganda

A circulating rumor in the Kpandai Constituency claiming that National Democratic Congress (NDC) members were attacked by bees during campaigning, resulting in one death, has been firmly debunked by party officials.

NDC Deputy Regional Secretary for the Northern Region, Ziblim Sarka, dismissed the story as baseless propaganda orchestrated by the rival New Patriotic Party (NPP) camp. Speaking to journalists, Sarka revealed that NDC executives had recently visited Kpandai solely to assess the local situation and consult with branch leaders, not to campaign.

He clarified that the deceased executive had been battling a prolonged illness and was admitted to Kpandai Hospital prior to the visit. This individual was not part of any campaign team and certainly not attacked by bees, Sarka emphasized, urging the public to disregard the “total lie.

Sarka further ridiculed the tale’s plausibility, noting the current harmattan season in the Northern Region brings dry winds and intense sunshine—conditions inhospitable to bee activity. “Bees don’t swarm in this weather, he quipped.

The NDC leader accused the NPP of fabricating the story to instill fear and disrupt opposition campaigning ahead of elections. This is a desperate agenda to derail our efforts, Sarka charged, calling on constituents to focus on facts over fiction.
