The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the Akufo Addo-led administration as one deceiving the people of this country.
Bernard Anim Piesie, a member of the communication team of the NDC made this allegation in an interview monitored by Onokwafo Yaw Asiedu of Ahotor FM, said the president himself is so much more interested in politics than governance.
His comment comes after the president assured Ghanaians that, his administration will do everything possible for the energy sector to stand tall.
“I wish to reassure you all that my government will continue to work towards “Keeping the Lights on”, in spite of the global dynamics of energy pricing because the alternative is not an option. We are not going back to dumsor, we leave that to President Mahama.” These were the exact words of the president.
But Anim Piesie in a sharp rebuttal attributed his claims to the NPP’s inability to add a megawatt to the energy sector
“Everyone in this country knows former president John Mahama did his best to solve dumsor before leaving office as he promised” he claimed.
According to him, if not for anything, the former administration led by John Mahama brought ESLA to help finance the energy sector with the aim of fighting dumsor. If not for anything, he added 3000 megawatts to the energy sector.
