Don’t distort history, you did not give NPP $3 million in 1992 – Kwabena Agyapong rubbishes Kennedy Agyapong’s claims

Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyapong has rubbished claims by Assin Central MP, Hon Kennedy Agyapong for sponsoring the party with $3 million in 1992.
“it’s not true, doesn’t distort history”. You never gave NPP $3 million in 1992. Ken Agyapong’s claims rubbished, he said.
Speaking in an interview monitored by Onokwafo Yaw Asiedu of Ahotor Fm, the NPP presidential aspirant hopeful said is not his intention to speak against his fellow party member but facts are there and no one gave the party such money during that time per his records.
According to him, he was the representative of young executive forum for the party at that time and there is no way someone will give out such a huge amount to the party and they will not hear.
In his interview, he said the biggest amount that came to the party at that time was 10 thousand pounds from the UK branch and $35 thousand from the USA.
“Kwame Pianim is alive as a founding member and I have reached out to him, but he said there was nothing like that during that time” he added.
In his submission, he appreciated many people who have reached out to the party to help and called on people not to speak out on things they have not done for the party.
