Bibiani Gold Stars striker Abednego Tetteh has defied all odds to become the top scorer of the Betpawa Premier League league 2022/23 season.
His rise to become the leading goal scorer of the just-ended season is a sensational one, as his failures at Hearts of Oak, Bechem United and Kumasi King Faisal which nearly brought his football career to a total truncation, he gave it a further try by changing environment, moving to Bibiani Gold Stars where his quality has been proven to be still potent.
The move to Gold Stars, a less pressuring environment made his move a profitable one for both parties, and his return to the headlines for the right reasons after joining coach Michael Osei’s side has brought smiles to his face again.
Bibiani Goldstars striker finished the current league season scoring a total of 18 goals to be adjudged as the top goals scorer in the league this season.
He beat off competition from Bechem United’s Hafiz Konkoni and Sampson Eduku of Tamale City FC, who finished with 15 and 14 goals respectively.
Abednego Tetteh becomes the 6th player in the history of the GPL to win the golden shoe with 18 goals, and this is the 5th time this has happened.
