American rapper, ‘Just Call Me Veto’, has described Ghanaians as beautiful friendly people to live with.
Speaking in an interview with Obaapa Janee and Omoprecious on Ahotor FM, the ‘Goodie Mob’ rapper said that;
‘‘Just love Ghanaians are beautiful people, cool people, nice and spiritual too and very welcoming as well, he likes the weather too, like everything here.’’
He added that they want to spread his music to the world, and they decided to come to Ghana first based on the love from Ghanaians on Instagram motivated them to come to Ghana.
‘‘Because I believe in him, He is a different artiste, very different, smart and he knows the type of person he is, which makes him different.
‘‘We planned to come back in August to have a concert for local artists and non-artistes and have a lot of collaborations,’’ says Neko Adu Poku, his manager.
According to the Atlanta-based rapper, his name means ‘‘victory ends those opinions…. like when you are growing up, people who will doubt you, look down on you, a lot of talks but just do you and this is for everybody.’’
Just Call Me Veto, who is in Ghana for a promotional journey to promote his music, said he recently started listening to African music.
He also added his favorite musicians in Ghana, which he is currently listening to.
“I just started listening to Lyrical Joe, Jaybad, and Wizkid, but I don’t know if he is a Ghanaian. And am meeting him tonight and possibly creating some good music.”
On how he sees the Ghanaian music industry compared with the American industry, he told Obaapa Janee,
‘‘Here, it is like everyone sticks together, but where I’m coming from is not like that, everyone is doing his own thing, the responses from Ghana are different from where am coming from, is not the same.’’
