The first batch of sportsmen and women, coaches and officials departed Accra on Thursday 21st July after100% zero cases of COVID-19 testing on all athletes. Team Ghana travelled on 3 flights namely:
Emirates
Turkish Airlines
Ethiopian Airlines
And on return, flights will include Air Maroc and Qatar Airways due to the high seasonal demand and other factors.
Team Ghana management team has no control over flight preference so had to accept the Airlines that were assigned.
Team Ghana Chef De Mission is already in the UK preparing the grounds to receive the contingents on 22nd July.
Athletes and coaches have had their COVID-19 tests already after which the departure and ceremonial wear were given out to shouts of joy and great expectations.
Official updates will be coming from the GOC as the teams depart and arrive in Birmingham.
