Give us jobs and stop the long talks –

The New Patriotic Party made lots of promises during the 2016 Presidential Election and one which was highly convincing was the creation of jobs for the youth

This promise was one of the reasons that swayed the youth into voting for the ruling government massively and ultimately winning the election with more than one million votes

Farudeen Yakubu, who is the Greater Accra communication director for the Peoples National Convention has claimed that, most of the youth in Ghana are jobless and that is a big problem for the country

To him, the President, Nana Akufo Addo and the ruling party made promises to create jobs for the youth but, after more than three years into government, the unemployment situation has worsened

“President Nana Akufo Addo promised jobs to the youth but hasn’t delivered and still continue to make more hollow promises that he will create jobs for Ghanaians. Why should we believe you again when you have not delivered in your first term?”

“There are lots of youth unemployed in the country and that should be a worry to all and sundry irrespective of your political affiliation”, he said

Although the President has said on many occasions that his administration has created more than one million jobs and will continue to create more when reelected in the December polls, Mr Yakubu says, the claims by the first gentleman of the land are not true

“Where are the jobs they claim to have created for the youth?. Ghanaians can’t see them. I can’t see them. All we see is unemployment soaring each day and yet the President keeps making unfulfilled promises. Stop the long talk and give us jobs”

“We can’t cater for our families and are struggling to make ends meet. You have closed down banks and rendered lots of people jobless for more than two years but always lying to us with your empty promises “

“Ghanaians are fed up of your empty promises, all they need is job not the long talks”

The vibrant communicator said, Ghanaians are watching keenly and will show the NPP government the exit door come December 7
