President John Dramani Mahama has officially opened the Ghana-UK Investment Summit 2026, a high-level international investment forum taking place at Raffles London from June 1-2, 2026.
Held under the theme “Restoring Investor Confidence to Unlock Opportunities and Shared Prosperity,” the summit brings together global investors, policymakers, development partners, and members of the Ghanaian diaspora to deepen economic cooperation and unlock new investment opportunities across key sectors of Ghana’s economy.
Delivering the keynote address, H.E. John Dramani Mahama emphasized the government’s vision of building a productive, export-oriented, industrialized, and technology-driven economy that creates sustainable opportunities for citizens while delivering strong, competitive returns for investors.
The summit is being hosted by the Ghana High Commission to the United Kingdom and Ireland in partnership with Ghana’s Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).
Key sectors highlighted for investment discussions include agribusiness, infrastructure financing, real estate, fintech and digital assets, energy and the green transition, as well as critical minerals areas identified as central to Ghana’s long-term economic transformation agenda.
Preceding the summit, President Mahama also hosted a landmark Diaspora Townhall Meeting on May 31, engaging members of the Ghanaian community abroad on national priorities and exploring avenues for diaspora-driven investment and development partnerships.
