What Ofori-Atta Is Doing Is a Disgrace to His Family – Abraham Koomson

TEMA,Ghana, 11 April: The Secretary-General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), Abraham Koomson, has sharply criticized former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, describing his current situation as a consequence of how he managed the country’s finances.

According to Mr. Koomson, what Ofori-Atta is experiencing is “karma,” arguing that “nature has a way of dealing with individuals who believe they are too clever or untouchable.”

Speaking on Ahotor FM’s Yepe Ahunu show on Saturday, April 11, Abraham Koomson said he would have advised the former minister to return to Ghana and face accountability.

He stressed that avoiding scrutiny only deepens public criticism and reflects poorly on one’s personal and family reputation.

“If he considers himself a family man, then what he is doing now is a disgrace to his family,” Mr. Koomson stated.

He further alleged that Ofori-Atta’s stewardship of the economy amounted to mismanagement, which he said has not only tarnished his image but also brought disrepute to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Abraham Koomson also took aim at the NPP, asserting that the party has lost the moral authority to comment on governance issues given its economic track record.

He urged the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to challenge the opposition NPP and remind them of their performance when they were in office.
