2024 budget: The budget is not for Ghanaians but for the IMF – Tema East MP

The Member of Parliament for Tema East Constituency, Isaac Ashai Odamtten, says Ghana’s 2024 budget presented by Minister of Finance, Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, does not address the pressing needs of the Ghanaian people.

Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 FM‘s morning show Ade Kye Mu Nsem with Alexander Nana Dogbe, the Tema East legislator described the budget as International Monetary Fund(IMF) written.

Hon. Ashai accused the finance minister of introducing more suffocating tax handles in the budget.

He said the government gained more funds but mismanaged the economy.

Hon Ashai Odamtten said the National Democratic Congress (NDC), under President John Dramani Mahama, had the superior record and that the Akufo-Addo-led NPP government is a liability to Ghanaians.

He promised a better economy under the NDC led by John Mahama when the party wins the 2024 general elections.
