Nigeria captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa named best goalkeeper of 2017 WAFU Cup

Nigeria captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa was picked as the best goalkeeper of the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations.

The FC Ifeanyiubah shot stopper, who has been capped at full international level, kept a clean sheet in four matches at the sub-regional tournament before he was finally beaten in tonight’s final by hosts and defending champions Ghana.

Ghana captain Isaac Twum was voted MVP and his teammate Stephen Sarfo emerged Goal King on four goals.

Niger finished third after they defeated Benin 2-1 in the losers’ final.
