Lower Manya NDC calling for suspension of Constiuency executives

The Concern executives and some party members of the opposition National Democratic Congress in Lower Manya Krobo have given the national and regional executive of the party 48 hours ultimatum to suspend the constituency executives.

The call was made in a press conference this morning at Liberty club house in Kodjonya, Krobo Odumasi.
According to the group, their action was necessitated by certain misconduct of the leaders which led to the party’s poor performance in the December 2016 polls.
“We the members of the above group want the leadership of the constituency executives of Lower Manya NDC to be suspended or resign their positions due to some misconducts which led to the abysmal performance in the just ended presidential and parliamentary elections”.
The NDC in the constituency with candidate Okletey Teilarbi in the 2012 general election polled 24360 representing 53.02% leaving a margin of 8179 between him (Hon. Teilarbi) and the candidate Dufie Dedo Aygarko of the NPP. However, in the 2016 parliamentary result, Hon. Okletey Teilarbi suffered a sharp reduction to 19710 against 19383 of Mr. Samuel Nuertey Ayertey of the NPP.
This the concern members belief it happened from the reasons that, constituency executives took stand to support one candidate during the party’s parliamentary primaries. “Voters, party supporters were also transferred to cast their ballot in different constituencies, aggrieved parliamentary hopefuls and some constituency executives”, the press statement alleged.
As if these were not enough, untrained polling agents were deployed to man the polls by the executives and some delayed. Monies prepared for polling agents were also borrowed by the MP and his executives to do their private operations. The statement went ahead alleged that, party pickup with registration number GT 4162 R brought for party activities was nowhere to be found.

They are therefore calling on whoever is possessing the said vehicle to send it to the Koletsom police station within 48 hours.
The Concern Branch Executives and NDC members, have however, said they will advice themselves if their plead is not head within the 48 hours ultimatum.
