Kaakie’s Kaakitup album is here

When it comes to Dancehall in Ghana, one of the few female musicians fronting genre is Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey popularly known as Kaakie.

After winning the hearts of many Ghanaians with popular songs such as DC Tun Up, Too Much, Kumcha and Zuchia, Kaakie  is now set to launch her maiden album titled Kaakitup on December 22 at Urban O, Osu, Accra

Some of the artistes featured on the album are Samini, Guru, Stonebwoy, Wutah Kobby, Virgo and Linguakat.

Speaking in an interview with Showbiz, Kaakie said the long awaited album has arrived after making her debut on the music scene four years ago.

“I had to take my time and work on the album and I am glad it has finally arrived. Kaakitup contains all the hit songs I have done in the past and anyone who purchases it will not regret doing so” she said.

According to Kaakie, although she has not been active lately, she is ready to give her all next year. She said she was involved in other stuff which prevented her from giving her fans great music.

“I am through with whatever I was doing and I am ready to wow my fans with countless and powerful songs as I have done in the past” she added.

To Kaakie, she is happy a lot of female Dancehall artistes have joined the train and doing so well. She thanked her fans for supporting her music and correcting her whenever she goes wrong.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank JMJ my manager and all those who have helped in making my career a success” she said.
