Belly Button of NDC bubbles For “Mother Mega Unity Walk”.

Ketu South is said to be the last and host constituency of the Volta region to crown the unity walk of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) began over a year ago.

The party has so far held similar Unity walks to mend internal bickering and apathy the party suffered during the 2016 general elections which send the NDC into opposition.

However, the Organisers and members of the national executive committee (NEC) have all expressed satisfaction over the previous peace walks by the party held already in nine (9) out of the ten (10) regions of the country with the remaining designation being the Volta region.

The impending walk in the Volta region has been described by many leading members and supporters of the party as one which will send a message of hope and optimism to especially undecided voters who have lost confidence and hope in the Akufo-Addo – led administration after ascending onto the mantle of governance of the country some sixteen (16) months on, amidst debilitating economic conditions and brazen corruption which have anchored the government.

The NDC over a decade now have secured the Volta region as a safe haven and citadel of electoral world bank of the party , after the country evolved to multiparty democratic governance, giving the party exuberant percentages in numerical figures during each histo – political season.

During the 2016 Polls, the NDC managed to swept about 80.9% (percent) of the total valid votes cast, leaving behind their closet political rivalry the New Patriotic Party who strived and struggled to fetched a scanty 17.4% (percent) of equally total valid votes cast.

Though the NDC in the region have unsatisfactorily expressed  discontenting about their performance per the last General election’s results in the region. The party through its internal audit has asserted to the effect that, several raging issues at the time and underpinning dynamics culminated into the said unsatisfactory results that the NDC chalked in 2016.


Meanwhile, the NDC activation through its peace building capacity process has managed to curtailed any self destructive button, and implosion which could have unearthed after the last election augmented by the Much touted Professor Kwesi Botwe report.

The national and regional executives of the Party, as well as the local organising and planning committee in the region, have buckles up through vigorous preparations to woo the mass majority of Voltarians to patronize the walk on Saturday, 09/18″.

Flavoring the event and in attendance will be the presence of former President John Drammani Mahama, the general Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National  Chairman Mr. Kofi Portofi.

Others shall includes: Past MMDCEs, incumbent Members of parliament and Past Mps, sympathizers, supporters, grassroots, as well as aspiring constituency executives are amongst participants billed to grace the occasion with mammoth side attractions.

Information gathered by sources close to top echelons in the region has it that, scores of massive gatekeepers in the NDC and bystanders will be heavily represented, with the sale of Party paraphernalia on displayed at vantage and strategic areas of the constituency to add bites, color and perfume to the program

The All – time Mega and Thunderous Unity walk will commenced by 6am prompt on Saturday 9/6/18″, at the Nogokpo School Park and Ends at Aflao, with the theme; “Mobilization of the Grassroots, a shared responsibility”.
