UGAANA presented 100,000 Cedis to the University of Ghana, Legon as part of its commitment to funding needy but brilliant students.
Receiving the check on behalf of the University, The Vice Chancellor of the University , Naana Aba Amfo conveyed the university’s appreciation to UGAANA, and looked forward to continuation of the partnership in helping needy but brilliant students.
Presenting the award: The President of UGAANA , Kwabena Annor-Ampofo emphasized the importance of the scholarship program and was optimistic that the funding would continue in the coming years.
In attendance were the pro vice chancellor, Professor Gordon Awandare, the Director of Office of institutional advancement, Professor Gordon Nkrumah & the Assistant Registrar of the office of institutional advancement Adwoa Abrokwa .
The UGAANA Delegation included BOT and scholarship Committee Member Dr. Darku Bilson, UGAANA’s Special Projects Lead Prof Emefa Tamakloe, Planning Committee Member Mr. William Adjei and UGAANA’’s Ambassador Designate for Diaspora affairs Dr. Sadia Nuhu.
The UGAANA Delegation also took the opportunity to formally invite the VC and her delegation to the *10th anniversary UGAANA Reunion planned for September 17-19th in Maryland*, USA.
