The FreeSHS is an agenda to introduce LGBTQ+ into Ghanaian schools – Sam Pee Yalley

Sam Pee Yalley, President of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Professionals Forum and Ghana’s former Ambassador to India and Sri Lanka has criticized the presidency’s letter regarding the anti-LGBTQ+ bill, labeling it as a diversionary tactic to deflect attention from pressing issues in Ghana.

Mr. Yalley condemned the letter written by Nana Bediatuo Asante, the Secretary to the President, to Parliament, regarding the anti-gay bill, deeming it disrespectful to the House of Parliament.

According to Mr. Yalley, the Executive branch lacks the authority to hinder Parliament’s work by withholding the bill for the President’s signature, and he perceives the letter as merely a diversionary maneuver.

He expressed disdain for the letter, describing it as worthless and suggesting that Asante Bediatuo was fully aware of its illegality and unconstitutionality. Mr. Yalley believes that the letter serves as a distraction from the genuine issues facing the country.

The letter is of no use, it is as useless as the paper it was written on because Asante Bediatuo knew that what he was writing was illegal and unconstitutional. The letter is just a diversional tactic from what is happening in the country” he told Citizen Kofi Owusu.
