Tema Community 11 residents protest to reject siting of Fuel Station

A resident in Tema Community 11 has vehemently opposed the establishment of a fuel station in their residential area. In a media interview, residents expressed concerns about the potential dangers the fuel station could pose to their lives and properties, urging authorities to take appropriate action.

Despite efforts to raise concerns with relevant authorities, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA), residents lamented that their appeals have fallen on deaf ears. They expressed frustration over the lack of response and warned that they would resort to taking matters into their own hands if necessary steps were not taken.

Felix Sobre, the Assembly member of Tema Community 11, echoed residents’ concerns, stating that he has exhausted all available avenues to halt the project. Despite his efforts, he noted that no concrete measures have been taken thus far to address the residents’ grievances.
