Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale Set to Headline Separate Hogbetsotso Festival Concerts on November 7 and 8

Ghanaian dancehall heavyweights Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are set to headline separate concerts during this year’s Hogbetsotso Festival celebrations, adding excitement to the annual cultural festival.

Stonebwoy is scheduled to perform on November 7, 2026, while his longtime rival, Shatta Wale, will take the stage on November 8, 2026.

The two-day musical celebration is expected to attract music lovers and fans of both artistes, particularly given their long-standing rivalry and competition within Ghana’s dancehall scene.

The concerts have generated interest among fans because of the history between the two musicians, whose rivalry has remained one of the most talked-about subjects in Ghanaian entertainment.

Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have had several public disagreements over the years, with their rivalry dating back more than a decade.

One of the most notable incidents occurred during the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, when a confrontation involving the two artistes and their entourages disrupted the ceremony.

However, recent developments suggest that their relationship may be taking a different direction. During the October 3, 2026 ShattaFest concert in the Volta Region, Shatta Wale publicly expressed love and support for Stonebwoy and even performed his hit song Putuu, encouraging fans to embrace unity rather than hatred.

With both artistes billed to perform on separate days at the Hogbetsotso celebrations, attention will be on their individual performances and whether their recent show of unity signals a new chapter in their relationship.

For now, music lovers can look forward to two major dancehall performances as the 64th edition of Hogbetsotso brings together culture, entertainment and music in the Volta Region.
