The founder and leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP) Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike has revealed to Nana Dogbe on ahotor news bulletin at 6pm on friday, that President Akufo Addo sounded very repetitive in his delivery in relation to the content and state of the Nation, during Thursday’s Address in parliament.
Being the last constitutionally (Article 67) mandated sessional address by the President, he eloquently espoused numerous pro poor policy directions implemented by his government and said he is very optimistic that the people of Ghana will reward his stewardship come December general elections.
But reacting to the aftermath of the 2020 SONA, leader and bank roller for the UPP Mr. Addai Odike averred that, President Nana Addo did not say anything new other than what he has been saying since he assumed the presidency on January 7th, 2017 respectively.
The Presidential hopeful for the UPP further stressed that, Ghanaians have become aware with the deceptive posturings exhibited by Nana Addo, and said the President had nothing to say to convince the masses for a renewed mandate.
He emphasized that, the Akufo Addo led administration have impoverished the people of Ghana such that people can not afford three square meals a day.
The leader of the UPP called on the electorates to rejected President Akufo Addo outright since he does not have the magic wand to effect the desired changes that they crave in their lives.
He alluded that, a glaring failure staring at the government and NPP party sympathizers, is the matter of galamsey fight which is spearheaded by government. Mr. Addai also said the allegation of about 500- 900 missing excavators smacks of a manifestation that, the government of President Akufo Addo is culpable in the alleged thievery, and expression of bad faith which have marred the fight against the menace in recent times, despite government spending huge sums of resources to nib the aged – old canker in the bud.
