Sampa Chieftaincy Clash: Three Held, More At Large

Three suspects have been remanded into police custody over a chieftaincy dispute in Sampa, Bono Region. Alhassan Issah (25), Luis Kwame Antwi (24), and Yussif Ahmed were arrested on November 4, 2025, and charged with conspiracy, causing harm, damage, assault, and stealing.

 

The suspects appeared before the Sunyani District Court B on November 5, where they were remanded to reappear on November 10, 2025. Several accomplices are still at large, according to the Bono Regional Police Command.

 

The chieftaincy dispute has led to violence, prompting the police to launch an intelligence-led operation to apprehend the suspects.

The court awaits further investigation and prosecution.
