Rocky Dawuni’s Book of Changes Earns Global Recognition as Essential Highlife Classic

Ghanaian Afro-roots and reggae icon Rocky Dawuni is celebrating a major milestone after his acclaimed 2005 album Book of Changes was named among the “Top 10 Essential Highlife Records of All Time” by the influential music publication Songlines Magazine.

The recognition places the project alongside legendary works and creators who helped shape the Highlife genre, further cementing Rocky Dawuni’s contribution to the evolution and global appreciation of Ghanaian music.

Reacting to the honour, the “African Reggae Fever” hitmaker expressed gratitude to the musicians, engineers, artists, and supporters who contributed to the landmark project.
