The Queen mothers’ foundation of Ghana is advocating for sanctions to be imposed on politicians and individuals who caused trouble that can jeopardize the peace of the country going into 2024.
President of the foundation, Nana Ama Serwaa Bonsu cautioned that, the repercussions would be dire if the country is plunged into chaos.
The traditional leaders want the Electoral Commission and other stakeholders to work towards a free and fair elections.
She said, “going forward, we will be calling out and will rebuke all individuals, groups, political parties, CSOs and pressure groups who exhibit such indecent conduct and use irresponsible language on any platform”.
“Media networks and organisations which also allows their platforms to be used to act such indecency comments and conduct will also not be spared” she added.
She made this call at a press conference organised by the foundation.
