ACCRA, Ghana, 6 March: President John Dramani Mahama has urged young Ghanaians to seize emerging opportunities in innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology to drive the nation’s future growth.
Delivering the 69th Independence Day address, the President said Ghana’s young population possesses the skills and creativity needed to transform the country’s economic prospects.
He acknowledged the frustrations many young people face, particularly difficulties in accessing capital to support their business ideas.
However, he assured that government policies are being implemented to create an enabling environment for youth-led enterprises.
According to the President, his administration is removing bureaucratic barriers to business registration while investing in digital infrastructure to support tech-driven entrepreneurship.
He also revealed that innovation hubs and incubation centres are being established across major cities including Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi, Koforidua, and Ho.
President Mahama further encouraged young people to develop their talents relentlessly and pursue excellence.
