The Tema Regional branch of the Electricity Company of Ghana’s (ECG) all-female Power Queens Club has donated medical equipment to the Fridoug Children’s Unit of the Tema Urban Hospital.
The donation, which took place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, formed part of the Club’s 38th-anniversary celebrations. The celebrations include various activities being organised by the different divisions of the Club across ECG’s operational areas.
Items donated included a handheld pulse oximeter, a nebulizer, a digital infantometer, a pulse oximeter, and a fingertip pulse oximeter.
The ECG Tema Region Power Queens Club President, Queen Annabel Buabasa Zormelo, made the presentation on behalf of the Club’s members. She was supported by the Region’s Human Resource Manager, Madam Emelia Dadzie, and the Accounts Manager, Madam Emelia Obodai.
The items were received by Madam Vida Annang, Head of the Antenatal Unit of the Tema Urban Hospital, located at Tema Community Two.
Madam Annang expressed appreciation to the Power Queens Club for the gesture, noting that the donated equipment would go a long way to support the hospital’s staff in the discharge of their duties and improve healthcare delivery to patients.
