Players want to play for Medeama for a reason – Dr Toni Aubynn

Former CEO of Goldfields Ghana and Corporate Affairs Director of Tullow Oil Ghana, Dr. Toni Aubynn has touted why players love to play for Medeama Sporting Club.
In an interview on Ahotor Kwanso, the GFA Executive Council member claims, in terms of player salary payments, Medeama SC has no problems and it is the reason why lots of footballers want to play for them.
He added that, salary payment has been the reason lots of players in Ghana move to Vietnam, Bangladesh, Cambodia etc to play football.
He believes that, had clubs been paying well and on time, lots of footballers would stay in the country to make our league more attractive.
Dr. Aubynn serves as Board Chairman for Medeama SC and his vast experience in management roles in Ghana and abroad has translated to the club’s enviable position as arguably the most stable and well run football team in the nation.
Dr. Toni Aubynn has over twenty years experience in both the solid minerals and the hydro-carbon sectors. He is currently the Founder and President of the Africa Institute of Extractives Industry (AIEI), an extractive industries think tank, which focuses on regulations, policies, governance and inclusiveness.
He was elected to the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association in September 2019 to bring on board his experience and contacts with the corporate world to reel in cash for Ghana’s struggling football circuit.
