Ghanaian actress and television personality Nana Ama McBrown has opened up about her decision not to rely on house helps to take care of her child.
According to the celebrated actress, concerns about reports of some house helps mistreating children influenced her decision to find a more trusted arrangement for her daughter.
McBrown revealed that she asked her own sister to put her work on hold and stay at home to take care of the child. She stressed that despite being her sister, she does not expect her to provide the service for free.
The actress explained that she pays her sister for taking care of the child and handling the responsibilities at home, just as she would pay someone employed for the same job.
McBrown made the revelation during a discussion with Ahenfie TV host Oheneni Adazoa, where they addressed growing concerns surrounding the treatment of children by some domestic workers.
