The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment (MYDE) has donated 16 pickup vehicles to the National Youth Authority (NYA) to power up the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP) nationwide.
Youth Minister George Opare Addo handed over the keys, saying the trucks will help coordinators in all 16 regions monitor master craft persons and apprentices more effectively. “Reliable transport means better oversight, smoother coordination, and hitting our goals on time,” he added.

He urged coordinators to maintain the vehicles well, noting GPS trackers are installed for accountability. The NYA CEO will face scrutiny for any misuse.

NYA CEO Osman Ayariga, Esq., shared that NAP is already training 14,000 youths, with ambitions to reach 100,000 as pledged by President.
“Logistics like these are crucial for success,” he said. The vehicles will supercharge regional efforts and advance Ghana’s push to become a global skills hub, driving industrialization beyond basic training.

Volta Region’s NAP Coordinator, Johnson Korbla Samlafo, spoke for all:
“These trucks will ramp up efficiency and deliver top-notch hands-on skills training to apprentices everywhere. Huge thanks to MYDE and NYA!
