ACCRA, Ghana, 1st October: The Government Communications has urged motorists in the Greater Accra Region to exercise extra caution following the commencement of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Ayalolo ContraFlow system.
The initiative, being implemented by the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, is expected to affect traffic movements during peak hours.
Motorists have therefore been advised to take extra precautions, particularly between 6:00am and 9:00am in the morning and 4:00pm and 8:00pm in the evening.
The advisory is aimed at ensuring the safety of motorists and other road users as the ContraFlow system gets underway.
Motorists are encouraged to remain alert, follow traffic management directions and plan their journeys accordingly during the affected periods.
