Money has never been my motivator in life – Emma Hayes

Chelsea Women’s Coach Emma Hayes Dismisses Financial Motivation Amid USWNT Speculation

In a recent interview with Chelsea FC TV, Emma Hayes, the highly successful coach of Chelsea Women’s Football Team, unequivocally stated that money has never been her motivation in life.

This declaration comes as speculation grows regarding a potential move to the coaching role with the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT).

Reflecting on her career trajectory, Hayes shared,

“I worked in this job for six grand a year at one point, then 12 grand.

Money’s never been my motivator in life, so I think focusing on that would be against who I am.”

Hayes, renowned for her tactical acumen and talent development, has become a sought-after figure in the realm of women’s football.

Despite leading Chelsea to numerous triumphs, including consecutive Women’s Super League titles, she underscores that her professional choices are guided by factors beyond financial considerations.

In further clarification, Hayes emphasized,

“As for the reasons I’ve stated earlier, I think I’ve made it clear where I’m at in my life, and I don’t really think there’s much else to say on the matter.”

Her commitment to deeper values and principles underscores that, for Emma Hayes, passion and purpose remain paramount in navigating the next chapter of her coaching career.
